Blum, Lois (20 JUL 1946)
The Christian Assembly Parsonage at Wausau was the scene of a lovely wedding ceremony at 11 o’clock, Saturday, July 20, 1946, when Miss Lois Blum and Robert Kohnhorst, were united in marriage by a ceremony read by the bride’s uncle, H. E. Reigel, pastor of the Gospel Tabernacle, Owen. He was assisted in conducting the ceremony by Pastor H. J. Walterman of Wausau.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Blum, Owen, Wis. (Clark Co., Wis.). A graduate of the Owen High School with the class of 1942. For the past several years she has been employed by the Marathon Electric Co. in Wausau. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kohnhorst of Wausau.
Attending the couple at the ceremony were Miss Esther Blum, Owen, a sister, and Donald Stubbe, a cousin of the groom.
For the occasion the bride chose a street length dress of white linen eyelet with white accessories. She wore a beautiful corsage of red roses and baby breath.
Her bridesmaid wore a similar styled gown of aqua blue linen with white accessories, and wore a corsage of red roses with white carnations.
The bridegroom and best man wore blue business suits with carnation boutonnieres.
Mr. and Mrs. Kohnhorst left later in the day for Chicago where they are spending several days, after which they plan on returning to Owen and establishing their future home.
