COLBY - Mrs. Lydia Schnabel, 73, died this morning at the Colonial House of Colby, Wis.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Church of Christ in Colby, Wis.
The Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lydia Schnabel, age 73, Unity, died Monday, May 2, 1977 at the Colonial
House of Colby.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5 at 11 a.m. at First United Church
of Christ, Colby. The Rev. Kenneth A Dix will officiate.
Friends may call at the Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby after 2 p.m. today.
The former Lydia Alexander was born in Pierre, South Dakota on February 3, 1904.
She married William Schnabel on September 27, 1927 in Delmont, South Dakota.
After their marriage they moved from South Dakota to Colby, in the Town of Hull,
where they lived until 1944, when they farmed at Stratford for three years. They
moved to a farm in the Town of Brighton near Unity in 1947.
She was a member of the Fist United Church of Christ, Colby.
Mrs. Schnabel is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William (Lucille) Helmke,
Stratford, and Mrs. Ronald (Lillian) Schmidt, Colby; three sons, Marvin, Elk
Grove Village, Raymond, Unity, and Donald, Colby; 15 grandchildren; three great
grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Gotthilf (Magdalena) Schnabel, Oregon,
Mrs. Fred (Pauline) Braun, Plano, Texas, Mrs. Harold (Adeline) Patrie,
Marshfield, and Mrs. Leo (Edith) Schnabel, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and one sister.
