College Notes (25 September 2013)

Andie Varsho of Chili was named to the dean’s list (semester GPA of at least 3.0 and cumulative GPA of 3.5) of Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, for the spring 2013 semester.

Alex Schofield of Thorp graduated May 19, 2013, with a Bachelor of Science nursing degree from Rockford College, Rockford, IL.

Patrick Pollack of Colby has been selected for a new University of Wisconsin-Stout Veterans Scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic years. The scholarship, which is funded through the Department of Veterans Affairs Educational Assistance Pilot Program, awards $500 for one year to students who are military veterans and excel academically.

Pollack is majoring in construction and is a field wireman with the U. S. Marine Corps. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton and served in Operation Desert Storm, a rescue mission at Mt. Pinatubo, Philippines and in Somalia and Korea.
