Becken, Angela J. #2 (2 NOV 1946)
Miss Angela Joyce Becken, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Halver Becken of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), Route 1, and LaVern Gilbert Kauffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kauffman, Abbotsford, exchanged wedding vows at the Becken home in Green Grove Township, Nov. 2, 1946, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. M. G. Goetsch of Colby officiating.
Attendants at the double ring ceremony were Miss Lucille Fink, Racine, a cousin of the groom, and James Mowery, Madison, the bride’s cousin.
For the occasion, the bride was attired in a white satin and net formal frock, styled with a long train. A crown of seed pearls held her fingertip veil of illusion and she carried white mums tied with white satin ribbons.
Miss Fink wore a blue satin and net dress. She had a corsage of roses and wore the same kind of flowers in her hair.
After the ceremony, a 5:00 o’clock dinner was served at the Becken residence, decorated with blue and white streamers. A large wedding cake centered the table. Later a dance was held at Atwood hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Kaufmann will make their home in Abbotsford and will live in the upstairs apartment in the Forest Stowe house. Both are employed at Strechert’s Lumber and Supply.
