Brandt, William #2 (10 OCT 1874 - 29 JAN 1947)
Funeral services for Wm. Brandt, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), will be conducted from St. John’s Lutheran Church at Withee, at two o’clock Sunday afternoon, Feb. 2, with Rev. Walter Schedler officiating.
Mr. Brandt succumbed to a heart attack while helping Wm. Veurink unload some hay in his barn at Withee at three thirty o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Despite his age of 73 years, 3 months and 19 days, he had apparently been in good health and active, and his death shocked his many relatives and friends, who he had won during the period of more than 50 years he had spent in the vicinity of Withee.
Wm. Brandt was born on Oct. 10, 1874 in Charolinenhoff, Germany. On Dec. 9th, 1896, at Withee, he was united in marriage to Augusta Bruchert and this unity was blessed with four children, Mrs. George Bruckschlager, Hemet, Calif., and Lawrence Brandt, Wausau, and two other sons, Donald and Emil, deceased. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Emma Bruchert, a half sister, Mrs. Bertha Luber, and two brothers, Ben and Richard, Withee, and two grandchildren, Etta Bruckschlager, Hemet, Calif., and Willard Bruckschlager, Owen.
