Kroll, Carl (19 November 1872 - 12 November 1949)
Funeral services for Carl Kroll, 76, were conducted at the Georgas Funeral Home at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday and at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Christie at 2 o’clock. Mr. Kroll died Saturday afternoon. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Rev. Walter Schedler officiated.
Mr. Kroll was born in Germany on November 19, 1872, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kroll. He received his education in the schools there and came to the United States alone in 1893. He located at Taylorville, Ill., on a farm. On February 19, 1895, he was married to Anna M. Boge at Decatur, Ill. They farmed in Illinois for 11 years before moving to their present farm in the Town of Weston on December 24, 1905.
Mr. Kroll was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Elsa Radue of Wausau, and two sons, Henry, on the home farm; and Edward, in the Town of York; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Jens, who resides on the home farm in Germany.
Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
