Laager, Arvilla (31 May 1878 - 15 November 1949)
Mrs. Jacob Laager, 71, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Portner, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Bergemann Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Friday. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery, the Rev. N. J. Dechant officiating.
Arvilla Metcalf was born in the Town of Hewett on May 31, 1878. She spent her entire life in Clark County, and spent the greater part of her life in the Columbia area. On September 18, 1902, she was married to Jacob Laager at Neillsville.
She is survived by eight children: Fred Laager of Eau Claire; Mrs. Bert (Anna) Lenz, Davenport, Ia.; Charles Laager, Greenwood; Mrs. Byron (Minnie) Hughes of Homewood, Ill.; John Laager, Colten, Cal.; Mrs. George (Bertha) Portner, Columbia; Miss Alice Laager and Mrs. Dan (Gladys) Dormandy of Neillsville. Thirteen grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Laager preceded her in death in 1948.
