Moen, Ronnog (28 December 1862 - 1 December 1949)

Mrs. Chris Moen, 86, of 218 West 15th Street, died Thursday, December 1, 1949 after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, December 5, at 1:45 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home and 2 o’clock at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, the Rev. N. J. Dechant officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Ronnog Haugon was born to Ole and Sergi Haugon on December 28, 1862. She received her education in Norway and came to the United States in 1893, when she was 31 years of age. In 1894 she was married to Chris Moen at Rushford, Minn. They farmed at Rushford and in Clark County. Mr. Moen preceded her in death on July 25, 1934.

Surviving children include John Moen, Neillsville, Carl Moen, Fargo, N.D.; George Moen, address unknown; and (Hilda) Mrs. Charles Johnson of Lombard, Ill. and there are nine grandchildren.

Five brothers and two sisters are deceased.
