McCann, Susan (24 November 1876 - 22 December 1949)

Funeral services were conducted at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton December 24, 1949, at 2 o’clock for Mrs. Susan McCann, who died Thursday evening; Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Susan Hammond was born on November 24, 1876, in the Town of Sherwood. She received her education in the rural school there. With the exception of five years in Milwaukee she spent her entire life in Clark County. In 1894 she was married to Joseph McCann at Neillsville.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Anton (Ethel) Laskowski of Marshfield; Roy, Floyd and Clayton of Milwaukee; Marcia Christenson of Marshfield; Mrs. L. (Stella) Bruhn, Herbert, Milton, and Mrs. Richard (Caroline) Specht, all of Milwaukee; also 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two children.

Pallbearers were: Steve Rosandich, Joe Seman, Ralph Scholtz, John Paun, Henry Seltrecht and Tom Paun.
