Humbird (27 August 1970)

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Shara of Alma Center called Thursday at the Jake Lightfoot home.

Mrs. Alvina Lee and daughter, Mrs. Dean Olson, and twin boys were guests Saturday of Mrs. Johanna Olson.

Mrs. Pearl Johnson and Mrs. Matie Smith called on Mrs. Lyda Kuberry of Merrillan Sunday and found her not too well. They also called on Mrs. Lyle Martin.

Comings and goings in the Leland Duxbury home last week: George Mashin of Columbia spent Monday afternoon there; Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Joe Safaronis and daughter of Chicago and Mrs. Bernice Ziegler of Black River Falls came for a visit; Wednesday night Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Reichenbach and grandchildren were there; Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Glen Davis of Neillsville and his mother, Mrs. Bernice Ziegler of Black River Falls, came for dinner and supper; Friday night Mr. and Mrs. Duxbury entertained at a party for friends and neighbors at the hotel. Also during the week the Duxbury’s delivered four truckloads of lumber to Elk Mound. How’s this for a full week?

Mrs. Johanna Olson was a dinner guest Sunday at the home of her son, Ernest, and with Mr. and Mrs. Olson spent the afternoon in Eau Claire.
