Nelson, Carl A. (24 November 1887 - 20 August
1970)
Carl A. nelson, 82, died last Thursday in Neillsville. Mr. Nelson,
son of Hans and Emily (Noyes) Nelson, was born November 24, 1887, in
Neillsville. He was married November 4, 1936, to Sadie (Kirk) Redman. She died
August 8, 1955.
He farmed northeast of Greenwood in the Town of Warner.
After the death of his wife, he lived east of Neillsville and then in the city
of Neillsville until seven years ago, when he went to Memorial Home.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Gladys) Helsten of Spencer and Mrs.
Eunice Schinke of Jefferson.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon
from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Robert Sutherland of the Unity
Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Gerald Denk, Godfrey Dyre, Kenneth Dyre, Conrad Krogness,
Arthur Kolstad and Bernard Kitzhaber. Gary Schultz sang, “The Old Rugged Cross”
and “How Great Thou Art” accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Don Warner.
