Heun, William (10 SEP 1872 - 24 AUG 1943)

William Heun, 70, died at his home in the town of Loyal Tuesday morning, Aug. 24.

He was born in Mineral Point on Sept. 10, 1872. Shortly after his birth his parents moved to Dodgeville. When a young man, he was a butter maker and built the first creamery at Junction City.

He was married to Rose Heise in 1903. In 1917 they came to Loyal and purchased the farm where he lived until the time of his death, and so for a quarter of a century he had made his home in this vicinity.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Nick (Rose) Yunk, of Rockford, Ill.; two sons, Lawrence, at home, and Irving, with the army somewhere in North Africa, and one brother, C. J. Heun, of California.

Funeral services were held in St. Anthony’s Catholic church on Friday morning at 0 o’clock, with Aloys Zinthefer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Those who served as pallbearers were Joe Becker, Frank Rueth, Frank Coryell, Ed Beaver, Mike Beaver and Bert Brown.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heun, N.F. Esch and Fred Dochnahl, all of Dodgeville, came to attend the funeral
