Potocnik, Maxine H. (Pawson) (May 28, 1914 - October 15, 2008)
Maxine H. Potocnik, 94, Owen died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Clark County Health Care Center Owen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18 at 3:00 p.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Owen. The Rev. Thomas Myhre will preside. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in the town of Hixon. Mrs. Potocnik’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Owen.
Maxine was born May 28, 1914, in Cheyenne, WY, to Henry and Anna (Andersen) Pawson.
She was united in marriage to Joseph Potocnik on April 25, 1933. The couple farmed in the Owen area. In addition, she also worked at Master Package in Owen. She enjoyed reading, bowling, crocheting and fishing.
Maxine is survived by her children, Doris Neumann, Beaver Dam, Mary (Wayne) Schmidt, Tucson, AZ, James (Carol) Potocnik, Owen, Jeffery (Kathy) Potocnik, Hayward; 22 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; one daughter, Virginia Landwehr; and two sisters.
