Kloth, Lester H. (11 Feb. 1919 - 13 Oct. 2008)

DORCHESTER - Lester H. Kloth, 89, of Dorchester, Wisconsin died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Dorchester, Wis. Burial will be in the Dorchester Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and again from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the funeral home.

He was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Medford to Henry and Mary (Heinz) Kloth. He married Gertrude Schwartz on March 23, 1940, in Hales Corners. Following their marriage, Lester worked on the Schwartz family farm, which the couple later purchased. In addition to farming, he worked as a mechanic at the Seidel Brothers Garage, Dorchester, Wis. He then worked as a welder for Northern Star Mobile Homes in Stratford and retired from Dorchester Towers in 1978. In retirement, Lester drove the road grader and snow plow for the town of Holton for many years.

Mr. Kloth is survived by his wife, Gertrude, Dorchester; children, Kenneth (Bonnie) Kloth, Merrill, Ruthann (James) Maw, Finger, Tenn., Jerry (Marlene) Kloth, Wausau, Bonnie (Robert) Svoboda, Colby, Lyle (LuAnn) Kloth and Jesse Kloth, both of Dorchester; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Evelyn Denzin, Wausau, Joyce Kloth, Wausau, and Barbara (Robert) Umnus, Wausau, further survive.
