Yost, Marjorie A. (18 June 1924 - 16 Oct. 2008)

Marjorie A. Yost, 84, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, in Marshfield Care Center.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer, and visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements.

Marjorie Ann Gries was born June 18, 1924, in Colby, daughter of Peter and Clara (Brost) Gries. She graduated from Colby High School.

The former Marjorie Gries was united in holy marriage to Harold R. Yost on May 16, 1942, in Colby, Wis. Mrs. Yost worked as a homemaker and also worked countless other jobs.

Marjorie was a member of PCCW, American Legion auxiliary, an antique car club, King's food pantry and a 4-H leader. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, singing, flowers and gardening, sewing and playing Sheepshead, but her fondest joy came from being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Yost is survived by six children, Richard (Helen) Yost, Carthage, N.C., Shirley Wachholz, Marshfield, Nancy (Joe) Hildebrandt, Chili, Mary (Bill) Hebert, Marshfield, Barry (Sharon) Yost, Marshfield, and Thomas Yost, Marshfield; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie is predeceased by her loving husband, both parents, three brothers, one sister, a son-in-law, Robert Wachholz, and one grandson, Keith Hildebrandt.

A memorial will be established in Marjorie's name at a later date.
