Prior, Allan R. (8 Nov. 1930 - 21 Oct. 2008)

LOYAL -- Allan R. Prior, 77, of Loyal died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at the Loyal United Methodist Church where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 175 of Loyal. Burial will be held in the Loyal Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Prior was born Nov. 8, 1930, in the town of Loyal to Calvin and Irene (Pratt) Prior. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict from October 1952 until his honorable discharge in August 1954.

He married Christine Bauman and they later divorced. He married June Lloyd Curtis on Aug. 25, 1979, in California. Allan had farmed for several years and then was employed at Land O'Lakes in Spencer from 1974 until 1994.

He is survived by his wife, June; his children, Debbie Prior (Gary Aga), Loyal, Mark Prior, Abbotsford, Dean Prior, Cadott, Beth Prior, Florida, Kyle (Leann) Prior, Loyal, and his stepchildren, Douglas (Pam) Lloyd, Arizona, Carla Degenhardt, Spencer, Carroll (Zelda) Curtis Jr., Greenwood, Chester (Kathy) Curtis, Eau Claire, Cheryl Curtis, Stanley, Cathy (John) Aumann, Granton, Pam (Mike Schneider) Curtis, Hewitt, Lisa (Brad) Zepplin, Loyal, and Sandy (Troy) Curtis, Ashby, Minn. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren. He is further survived by two sisters, Polly Everett, San Jacinto, Calif., and Wilma (Delton) Jollivete, Marshfield.
