Mueller, Betty J. (12 Sept. 1935 - 29 Sept. 2008)

GRANTON -- Betty J. Mueller, 73, of Granton, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at her home.

Services are tentatively set for Thursday. A complete obituary will be published on Wednesday.

Buchanan Funeral Home is assisting the family.

GRANTON -- Betty J. Mueller, 73, of W814 Todd Road, Granton, died at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 29, 2008, at her home.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville. The Rev. Tom Hahn will officiate. Burial will be in Sherwood Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. She was born Sept. 12, 1935, in Rudolph to Henry and Mary (Thiemke) Darr. She attended Rocky Run School and graduated from Pittsville High School in 1953.

She married Charles Mueller on June 19, 1954, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pittsville. After marriage, they farmed and raised mink in the town of Sherwood. Betty was a homemaker and also worked at the Memorial Home in Neillsville for 10 years. She loved music and dancing. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put others before herself. She loved to visit with friends by phone and always remembered friends and relatives by sending a card. She was a strong woman with strong faith and never complained. Betty was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Mueller, Granton; children, Larry Mueller, Chili, Cheryl (John) Hink, Neillsville, Rose (Cyril) Rakovec, Pittsville, John Mueller, Neillsville, James Mueller (partner Jeff McDonald), Wausau, and Connie Reshel, Granton; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is further survived by Ellen (Ray) Hoffman, Auburndale, Ralph (Eileen) Darr, Pittsville, Shirley (Jim) Lawrence, Vesper, Joyce Kroening, Spencer, Roger Darr, Pittsville, and Dale (Cheryl) Darr, Pittsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Everett and David Darr; and her son-in-law, Randy Raschel.

Gone yet not forgotten
