DeWitt, James A. (23 Oct. 1983 - 5 Oct. 2008)
WITHEE -- James A. DeWitt, 24, of the town of Maplehurst, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in Barron County following an automobile accident.
Services will be at 7 p.m. today at the Hemer Funeral Home in Medford. Cremainal inurnment will take place at a later date in the town of Maplehurst Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to service time today at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 23, 1983, in Eau Claire. James was a shift supervisor at Eau Claire for four years. He also was employed for one year as a disc jockey by Music and Motion, a position he held at the time of his death. He also currently was working at the Brass Rail in Medford as a cook. James was a puppeteer and costume designer for the Renaissance Faire in Chippewa Falls.
Surviving are his parents, Douglas A. DeWitt, Texas; mother, Connie L. (Parnewicz) Hedrington, Rib Lake; brother, Lance Cpl. Max Hedrington, U.S.Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif.; sisters, Shanna Hedrington, Medford, and Amanda Hedrington, Eau Claire; and grandparents, Louise Parnewicz, Withee, and George "Burge" DeWitt, Minnesota.
