Culton, Dean Karl (7 Feb. 1938 - 27 Oct. 2008)

NEILLSVILLE -- Dean Karl Culton, 70, of Neillsville died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A memorial graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at the Columbia Cemetery in Neillsville.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Dean Karl Culton was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Whitewater. He worked as a machinist at the foundry in Whitewater and at Whitewater Manufacturing. On June 27, 1959, he was united in marriage to Jeanette Deegan in Whitewater. She preceded him in death in September 2004.

They moved to Greenwood in 1970, where Dean worked as a foreman at Land O'Lakes. They moved back to Whitewater in 1978 and Dean again worked for Whitewater Manufacturing. Later, he drove truck for Hawthorne-Melody hauling milk. In 1987, they moved to Neillsville, and Dean worked as a foreman at Barr's Animal Foods in Greenwood until his retirement.

He is survived by two sons, Anthony (Joan) Culton, Neillsville, and Alan (Kim Nelson) Culton, Neillsville; one daughter, Sherry Scheel, Neillsville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
