Greenwood (3

Glenn Bushman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bushman,
underwent hernia surgery in a Marshfield hospital, last week Tuesday morning.
Mr. O. J. Amundson has returned after spending several days with her
son, Gordon Amundson, and family. While there she attended the funeral of her
brother, Melvin Olson, in Woodville.
George Wilson arrived last week
Wednesday from Milwaukee to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Kaudy.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Catlin and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kuester and daughter,
Delores, went to Mosinee recently, where they met their daughter and sister,
Mrs. Elaine Blaettler, who flew in from San Diego, Calif., to visit relatives in
the area.
Mrs. Mary Klune is spending three weeks in Kaukauna at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Vanderbrock and with her grandchildren, Annette and
Mitchell Klune.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Vogel have returned from West Allis,
where they visited their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Vesel.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Drew of Viroqua were recent guests of Mrs. Glen Drew.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hinker and family of Wausau visited his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Sylvester Hinker, and his brother, Francis Hinker, who is a patient in a
Marshfield hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart spent the weekend in
Rochester, Minn., at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Everett Humke. While there they visited Mrs. Bernard Opelt and Mrs. Blanche
Zimmerman, both patients at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Funke and Mr. and Mrs. Luther Funke of New Holstein spent several days recently
at the home of Mr. O. J. Amundson, mother of Mrs. Robert Funke, and in their
cottage at Rock Dam.
Francis Hinker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester
Hinker, has been a patient in a Marshfield hospital since August 14.
Mr.
and Mrs. George Pickens of Mount Rose, Colo., visited recently with her
sister-in-law, Mrs. Kathryn Ivey. Mrs. Pickens is the former Dorothy Ivey of
Greenwood.
Mrs. Gregg Hinker and children, Cheryl and Gary, of Ossian,
Ia., spent last week Wednesday and Thursday at the home of her brother,
Sylvester Hinker, and family and with her mother, Mrs. Frances Hinker, at the
Marshfield Convalescent Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sohlberg and daughters,
Sharon and Melanie, of Dundee, Ill., spent from Tuesday until Thursday last week
at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger.
Friday visitors at the John Kaltinger home were Mr. and Mrs. George Mathes
and son, James, of Wauwatosa.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Catlin of Loyal and
Mrs. Leon Kuester and Delores spent Tuesday in Marshfield. They were accompanied
by Mrs. Elaine Blaettler, who remained in Marshfield to visit relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keller spent from Friday until Tuesday last week at the
home of their son, Josepha Abbott and family, at Brookfield and with his
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ayen. They grandson, John Abbott,
accompanied them here for a visit.
