Final rites were conducted for C. H. Nissen at Iron Mountain, Mich., at two o’clock Wednesday, July 23, with the Rev. S. D. Kinde officiating. Interment was made in Cemetery Park at Iron Mountain, Mich.

Mr. Nissen had passed away Monday, July 21, 1947, after an illness of one week’s duration. He was 81 years of age at the time of his death.

He successfully farmed and developed a large tract of land until 1919, at which time he sold his farm to his son Robert, and then moved to a smaller place north of the city, where he resided until 1944. At that time he and Mrs. Nissen moved to Iron Mountain, Mich., where he had since made his home with his son Tony.

Surviving him are his wife, a sister, Mrs. Catherine Hansen of Denmark; three brothers, Hans and Marinus of Waterloo, Iowa, and Walter of Davenport, Iowa; three sons, Robert of Owen, Martin of Glidden, and Tony of Iron Mountain, Mich.; dour daughters, Mrs. Ann Fraser of Grand Rapids, Minn.; Mrs. Oluf Angvik of Superior; Mrs. Herb McGloy of Silver City, Mont., and Elsie of Iron Mountain, Mich., 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nissen returned home Thursday from Iron Mountain, Mich., where they had been for the funeral services, having left Owen early Tuesday morning.
