Rueden, Lou Ann
(Marriage - 22 August 1970)
Miss Lou Ann Rueden, daughter of Mrs. Bertha
Rueden and the late Arthur Rueden of Abbotsford, was united in marriage to
Lawrence Weix, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weix, Sr., of Rt. 2 Colby, August 22
at ceremonies in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford. The Rev. Emil
Hodnik performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 250 guests.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Jerome. Miss Cheryl Poehnelt
of Abbotsford was maid-of-honor. Mrs. Donna Franson of Pittsville, Mrs. Beverly
Muci, Jr., of Athens and Miss Lynn Weix of Colby were bridesmaids. Junior
bridesmaids were Misses Rosemary and Karen Rueden of Unity. David Rueden was
bestman. DuWayne Franson of Pittsville, Ted Meier, Jr., of Athens and Arnie
Lueth of Curtiss were groomsmen. Ushers were Allen Langteau and Joe Weix.
The bride plans to complete her senior year at St. Joseph’s School of
Nursing. The groom is a 1963 graduate of Colby High School. They are making
their home at 514 Blodgett Street Marshfield.
