Ronald
L. Brugge, 63, Black River Falls, died on Friday, Aug. 23, from the effects of a
stroke.Buswell Funeral Home of Black River Falls assisted the family with
arrangements.
Ronald Brugge was born on August 27, 1949 in Wausau. He
graduated from Janesville High School in 1967. He served in the United States
Army during Vietnam Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He was employed by
the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections at the Fox Lake Correctional
Institution, and most recently at Jackson Correctional Institution until his
retirement in March 2013.
He enjoyed the Packers, Brewers and his boat
and camper at the lake.
Survivors include his mother, Darlene Mittenzwei
of Medford; his wife, Donna; two sons, Nathaniel (Amy) Brugge of Duluth, Minn.,
and Matthew (Keri-Ann) Brugge of Eau Claire; a step-son, Michael (Michelle)
Price of Greenville; a step-daughter, Christine (Jay) Brown of Victorville, CA;
a sister, Linda (Dave) Pettit of Morton, IL; and six grandchildren, Willow,
Madison, Delanie, Christien, Ian and Zoe.
In lieu of flowers, donations
may be given to Black River Falls Memorial Hospice.
