Regina Margaret (Tesmer) Davis, 98,
died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, while at Door County Memorial Hospital.
She
was born September 8, 1914, in Colby, daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth
(Orth) Tesmer. She attended St. Mary's Grade School and Colby High School in
Colby. Regina and her sons relocated to Wausau in 1955 where she raised the
boys, drew a circle of friends, and engaged in many social activities. Regina
retired from Packaging Corporation of America in 1977 after 24 years. She was a
long-standing member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. She moved closer to her
family in Sturgeon Bay (Door County) in 2008.
Regina was an avid
adventurer of the outdoors and spent as much time as possible at the family
cottage in Glidden. An enthusiastic cook, she was lauded for her baking. Each
fall she baked for weeks to supply her sons and fellow hunters with cookies. She
enjoyed various social and birthday clubs and her large circle of friends.
Survivors include one child, Kenneth (Kim) Davis of Sturgeon Bay;
grandchildren, Laura (Eric) Davis Roberts, Jason Davis, Tracey Kopeschka;
step-grandchild, Shannon Hartel; two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Zoë
Roberts; sister-in-laws, Myrtle Kuehling and Audrey Tesmer; and daughter-in-law,
Lavonne Casper.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, James
Davis; brother, Sylvester “Boots” Tesmer; brother-in-laws, Richard Kuehling and
William (Myrtle) Davis.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 9,
2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby with Father David Rybicki
presiding. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends called at the
church on Monday from noon until the time of services.

Home in Sturgeon Bay and Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Colby are assisting
the family with arrangements.
