Porath, Anna Mae (Wesneski) Lindgren (23 APR 1930 - 10 JUN 2013)

Anna Mae Porath, 83, Owen, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital-Marshfield, with her daughter and son by her side.

A memorial service was held Saturday, June15, 2013, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss, with Rev. Kris Bjerke-Ulliman officiating.

Anna Mae was born April 23, 1930, in Rockford, IL, to John and Mae (Komis) Wesneski. She received her education and graduated from Bee Hive School, outside of Owen.

Anna Mae was joined in marriage to Arvid Lindgren on June 30, 1951, at the Alliance Church in Curtiss.

Together they farmed in the Town of Green Grove until the time of his death in 1969. She then went to school to become a CNA and worked at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen as a Certified Nursing Assistant until her retirement.

Anna Mae was joined in marriage to Ed Porath on October 24, 1981, At St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss.

She enjoyed baking, cooking, canning and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her door was always open for friends and family to visit.

Anna Mae is survived by her children Gary (Barb) Lindgren of Withee and Debbie (Brook) Hansen of Champlin, MN; her stepchildren Rod (Debi) Porath of Loyal, Denise (Ron) Kovalaske of Owen, and Randy Porath of Owen. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great-grandchildren, a sister Jean (George) Behringer of Winneconne, step-son-in-law Steve Brown of Abbotsford and many nieces and nephews.

Anna Mae is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Arvid, her second husband Edwin in 2011, step-daughter Debra Brown, step-granddaughter Jessica Porath and two sisters, Joyce Ackerman and Norma Miller.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and all who knew her smiling face.
