Matt Story has accepted the position of sawyer in the Stanley Mfg. Co.’s mill at Stanley.
Miss Lua Warner closed her second term of the school in the Rogers Creek district, with appropriate exercises on Monday.
L. M. Cornwell, who has been working a farm in the town of Withee for the past two years, moved onto J. B. Calkin’s farm west of here last week.
Moses Poquett, whose dwelling was recently destroyed by fire, has rented a house of S. S. Warner, which he will occupy during the present week.
A daughter has been born to Harry Warden and wife since our last writing.
Otto Evenson and Chris Hovelson have retuned from Owen, where they were employed for a few days.
W. Vandusen is said to have sold his farm north of here. We did not learn the purchaser’s name.
The Misses Lydia and Dora Fellows of Thorp paid their sister, Nora, a visit last week.
