Marking, Dorothy (30 AUG 1947)
Miss Dorothy Grace marking, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Marking, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Herman Harry Rabska, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rabska, Withee, repeated their marriage vows before the Rev. Walter Schedler at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 30, 1947.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Zasoba, Withee, were best man and matron of honor. Other attendants included the bridesmaids, Miss Eunice and Bonnie Marking, sisters of the bride, and groomsman, Lester Rabska, brother of the groom; ushers, George Sorenson and Lester Hansen, Withee.
The bride was gowned in white French crepe styled with a long train. Her fingertip veil was caught to a tiara of pearls. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies and tea roses.
The matron of honor wore a white ninon gown, yellow gloves, and a yellow headdress. She carried a colonial bouquet of yellow gladioli. The bridesmaids were dressed in white ninon and wore pink gloves, and headdresses. They carried colonial bouquets of pink gladiolas.
A reception was attended by 200 guests. At the Danish Assembly Hall, Withee, at 4 p.m.
After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Rabska will make their home in Withee where the groom is in business.
