Godina, Louis (25 February 1878 - 20 February 1950)

Funeral services were held on Thursday at 2 o’clock at the Slovene National Benefit Society Hall at Willard for Louis Godina. He died at the Old Men’s Home on South Hewett Street on Monday. The Rev. Virgil Nulton officiated. Burial was made in the Willard Cemetery.

Mr. Godina was born in Europe on February 25, 1878. He came to the United States from Italy in 1907 and was employed in foundries in Indianapolis until 1931.

He worked as a farm hand in the Town of Hendren for some time. He has spent many years at the county farm and at the old men’s home.

Pallbearers were John Bergant, Blaz Cohara, Frank Bergant, John Kaltinger, Jake Detchman and Peter Belay.
