Walter, John (15 November 1886 - 6 March 1950)
Funeral services for John Walter, 63, of Granton, R1, will be held this (Thursday) afternoon from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal. The Rev. Aloys Zinthefer will officiate. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery. He died Monday in the hospital in Marshfield.
Mr. Walter was born on November 15, 1886, in Germany. At the age of two he came with his parents to the United States. He was married on November 13, 1917, to Miss Rose Schmidt at Loyal. He settled on a farm in the Town of York and resided there until about a month ago, when he moved to Loyal.
He is survived by his widow and a son, Eugene, of the Town of York, four brothers, George of Loyal, Joseph, Tony, and Louie; two sisters, Mrs. Leo Schecklman and Miss Anna Walter, and his mother, Mrs. George Walter, all of the Town of York. Three grandchildren also survive.
