Borde, Emma (26 January 1872 - 5 March 1950)
Mrs. Gustav Borde, 78, died at her home on South Grand Avenue Sunday at 1:55 p.m.
The body lay in state at the Georgas Funeral Home until one o’clock Wednesday, when it was taken to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where services were conducted at 2 p.m. The Rev. Alfred Schewe officiated. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Emma Kind was born January 26, 1872, to John and Juliana Kind at Ebenezer. She attended Lutheran school at Ebenezer and was confirmed in 1886.
On January 26, 1898, she was married to Gustav Borde at Farmington. They resided there until 1907, when they moved to a farm in Pine Valley, where they lived for 24 years. In 1931 they moved into the city, where they spent the remainder of their lives. Mr. Borde preceded her in death on April 24, 1934.
She is survived by three children, Walter Borde and Herbert Borde of Neillsville, and Mrs. John (Viola) Buehler of Elgin, Ill.; two brothers, Adolph Kind and Herman Kind of Elgin; a sister, Mrs. Amelia Schmidt of Elgin; also 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
