Pagenkopf, Alvin William (22 July 1887 - 22 March 1950)
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Georgas Funeral Home for Alvin Pagenkopf, who died at his home on West Division Street Wednesday, March 22, 1950. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Rev. R. Banks Blocher officiated.
Mr. Pagenkopf was born July 22, 1887, to Ferdinand and Wilhelmina Hoppa Pagenkopf in the Town of Grant. He spent his entire life in Clark County. He worked as a farm hand and trucker for several years. In 1916 he located on his present farm in Grant and has resided there the past 34 years. He moved into town late last fall. He was a member of he I. O. O. F. Lodge No. 198 and of the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 1602.
On February 5, 1919, he was married to Clara Stelloh at Neillsville. Two children were born to this union. One son, Harold died in 1946, and one son, George, resides on the home farm. Besides his wife he is survived by three brothers and three sisters: Herman Pagenkopf, Neillsville; Emil Pagenkopf, Kenosha; Reinhold Pagenkopf of Milwaukee; Mrs. F. A. (Emma) Meyer, San Mateo, Cal.; Mrs. Ann Junchen, Granton; Mrs. Tillie Noah, Loyal.
Two brothers, Frank and John, and one sister, Lena, preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were members of the Odd Fellows Lodge: Arthur Carl, Bob Frantz, John Gullickson, N. F. Toptine, Oscar Foote, and Robert Prochazka, Sr. The Odd Fellow Lodge took charge of services at the cemetery.
Miss Jo Ann Cummings sang two selections accompanied by Mrs. Al Covell at the piano.
Persons from out of town attending the rites included Mrs. Anna Junchen, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Pagenkopf, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Lenz, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Noeldner, Loyal; Mrs. H. V. Bollom, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
