Loos, Emilie (Marriage - 27 Apr. 1957)

Miss Emilie Loos, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Loos of Colby, and Edward Kappel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kappel of Marshfield, Route 1, were united in marriage Saturday, April 27th, in Sacred Heart church in Marshfield, Rev. La Vern Zimmerman officiating at the marriage ceremony.

Miss Loretta Kappel of Marshfield, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and Lorraine Morrow of Atlantic, Virginia, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Darrel Loos of Colby, Wis., Route 2, sister-in-law of the bride, were bridesmaids.

The bride was attired in a gown with a Chantilly lace bodice, pointed collar, net yoke with sequin and a finger tip veil. Lace peplum over tiers of nylon tulle completed her skirt. Her bouquet consisted of white Easter lilies, red roses and white Hyacinth blossoms. Her attendants wore identical styled strapless gowns of dotted tulle with tucked bodice, full skirt ending with a net flounce around the bottom completed with tulle boleros with tiny collars closing the neck in blue and pink respectively. The maid of honor’s bouquets consisted of blue and white carnations tied with blue bows.

Both mothers attended the wedding in navy blue dresses with white accessories. Their corsages consisted of pink roses and white carnations.

A dinner was served and a reception was held at the bride’s home. In the evening, a dance was held in the Eagles Hall in Marshfield. Music was furnished by Don Adams and his orchestra.

After a wedding trip to points in Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois, the couple will be at home at 507 North Walnut St. in Marshfield where the groom is employed at the Rollohome Corp. The bride is employed at the Wienbrenner Shoe Factory, Marshfield.

Out of town guests were from Atlantic, Va., Woodstock, Ill., Chicago, Ill., Elmhurst, Ill., Mendota, Ill., Sheboygan, Milwaukee, Waupaca, Colby, Athens, Unity, Abbotsford, Marshfield, Spencer.
