Severson, May (16 December 1875 - 27 May 1950)
Funeral services for Mrs. May Severson, 74, were held on Monday at the Grace Methodist Church in Greenwood. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. She died on Saturday following a heart attack. She had been in poor health for some time.
Mrs. Severson was born May Sheldon on December 16, 1875, at Dundee. She came to Clark County with her parents while a young girl. The family settled near Unity, where she received her education. She taught in the Christopherson School before her marriage to Sam Severson, who preceded her in death. She lived in Greenwood for 56 years.
Surviving are the following children: Claude and Hugh of Greenwood, Mrs. Vernal (Mabel) Bold of McClusky, N.D.; Mrs. Carl (Vivian) Schmidt of Bennett; Mrs. Thomas (Marion) Ozanich, Mrs. Harry (Leida) Kurtzheim and Miss Angela Severson all of Milwaukee; Mrs. Leroy (Grace) Kretlow of Cedarburg; Mrs. Paul (Bertha) Brandt of Stratford; Mrs. Lester (Gertrude) Schuette and Mrs. Ernest (Dorothy) Molle, both of Unity, Wis. Three sisters, a brother and 24 grandchildren also survive.
