Kilty, Vern T. (3 June 1932 - 10 Nov. 2008)

ATHENS -- Vern T. Kilty, 76, Athens, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at St. John Lutheran Church, Edgar. Burial will be in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born June 3, 1932, in Unity, son of William and Florence (Mattson) Kilty. On Oct. 5, 1955, he married Mary Martin in Unity, Wis.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, Athens; two sons, Thomas (Tanya) Kilty, Marathon, and Christopher (special friend Anna) Kilty, Wausau; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Virginia) Kilty, Colby, Robert (Alvera) Kilty, Spencer, and Marvin (Lu) Kilty, Colby, Wis.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
