Colby, Wis. - Apr. 11, 1957
A son was born April 9th at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital to Dr. and Mrs. Raymond Hansen.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leo Weix of Colby, Route 1, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital, April 5th.
Mrs. Ed Becker returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where she had a cataract removed from her eye.
A. R. Hemmy and son, Robert, of Juneau, former Colby citizens, were business visitors in Colby Tuesday.
Mrs. Pauline Rex and Olga and Reiny Voge spent Sunday afternoon at Loyal with Mr. and Mrs. Art Schuette.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Wolf of Colby, Route 2, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital April 3.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Frodeen and daughter, Sandra, of Chippewa Falls visited Tuesday night at the Reiny Voge home.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. D. Waldhart and family of Appleton spent the week-end with their parents, Mrs. Edna Waldhart and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Dreel.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Waldhart and daughter of Appleton spent the week-end with their parents, Mrs. Edna Waldhart and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Shupe at Spencer.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Neitzel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mrs. Neitzel is the former Marcella Rex, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Rex and grand daughter of Mrs. Paulina Rex.
Arnold Engeldinger, son of Mr. Albert Engeldinger, returned home after his discharge from the U.S. Army. He served two years, one of which was in Germany.
Mrs. Lott, Mrs. Ketterl and Mrs. Hibbard, Colby Graded School teachers, visited schools in Owen and Abbotsford Tuesday while cadet teachers were in charge of their classes.
Grace Schulz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. Schulz of the town of Colby, will be on tour with the Central State College of Stevens Point on April 16, 17 and 18. She will be a soloist with the group. Seymour, Green Bay Preble, Oconto, Marinette and Wabeno comprise the tour’s itinerary. Stainer’s "Crucifixion" will be featured on the program. Miss Schulz is a senior in the division of intermediate-upper elementary education at the Stevens Point college. She also participated in the annual Lenten program at the college April 7 and 8.
