LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST

Emil Erickson of Marshfield visited relatives here Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Green were Chippewa callers Tuesday.

Geo. Rogers of Abbotsford was a business caller here Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Sturner drove to Marshfield Sunday to visit Miss C. Ostenson at the hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kuehling and sons returned home Friday from a six weeks tour of the west.

Mrs. Fred Thieme returned home from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital on Saturday much improved in health

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Winters and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Winters of Springfield, Ill., visited relatives and friends her this week.

Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Green and family and Mr. and Mrs. A Kuehling and sons spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bublitz.

Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Green, and Mrs. J. Johnson and children visited Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Neitzel at Abbotsford, Wis.

Wm. Anderson of Apollonia, came Wednesday evening to visit his mother, Mrs. Mona Olson, who was taken ill very suddenly Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Chas. Brady was taken to the Medford Hospital Tuesday where she underwent an operation Wednesday morning. We hope for a speedy recovery.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Matthais left for their home in California last Thursday after spending a couple of weeks with Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Matthias.

There will be a benefit dance held at the A. E. Edwards Hall north of Curtiss for Henry Bublitz on Monday evening, August 6th. Everyone invited to attend.

Ed Bublitz and Cap Torrison drove to Chippewa Falls Saturday to visit Henry Bublitz at the hospital. Reports are that Henry is improving nicely and expects to be home soon.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zenzel attended the wedding of Miss Mildred Sutherland of Tomahawk and William Ahrens, Jr., of Wausau, at St. Stephens Church in Wausau, Saturday, July 21st.
