Phillips, Orville (22 Feb 1923 – 27 April 1966)

Orville Clifford Phillips, 43, Seymour, a former resident of Loyal, died of a heart attack Wednesday, April 27 at his home.

Services were held at the Myre Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30. The Rev. Donald Dinsmore, Seymour officiated and burial was made in the Loyal cemetery.

Mr. Phillips was born February 22, 1923, at Elmwood and was married June 12, 1923, at Iowa, to Joyce Hardrich. After their marriage, he worked with his father as a carpenter in the Loyal area until 1959. They then moved to Seymour where he was employed with the Kimberly-Clark company.

Pallbearers were Wayne Hardrich, Daryl Rowley, George Adam, Donald Hartman, Jack Nowack and Rudy Bornlach.

Mrs. Paul Doering accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Ruth Zepplin, sang “The Lord Is My Shephard” and “Abide With Me.”

Mr. Phillips was a veteran of World War ll.

In addition to his wife, survivors are five children, Cheryl, Charla, Valerie,Warren and Glen, all at home; a brother, Dean, Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Harold *Blanche) Nowak, Loyal; and Mrs. Marilee Giese, Rivhland Center; and his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Phillips, Loyal.
