Conrad, Carl, (01 Nov 1888 – 02 May 1966)
Carl Conrad, 77, of Marshfield died at 1:40 p.m. Monday, May 2 at St, Joseph’s
Hospital, Marshfield.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4 at
the Hansen Chapel with Rev. R. W. Goetsch officiating. Burial was made in the
Veefkind cemetery.
Mr. Conrad was born November 1, 1888, in Kansas, and
layer moved to Oklahoma. In 1901 he came with his parents to the town of Spencer
where he resided until 1942, when he moved to Marshfield where he was employed
until his retirement five years ago.
He married Lena Taube, who preceded
him in death July 4, 1934, took place October 1, 1907 at Marshfield, August 5,
1942, he married Elsie Carbon in Kaboka, Missouri, who survives.
Mr.
Conrad had served as constable in he town of Veefkind, and was a member of the
school board in the town of Sherman.
Other survivors are three daughters,
Mrs. Roman (Adalia) Goetz, Loyal; Mrs. George (Lorena) Schmidt, Marshfield; and
Mrs. Irving (Anna) Greenberg, Chicago, Illinois; two sons, Alfred and Oscar
Conrad, Marshfield; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Krause, Rockford, Illinois; 10
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
