Lueck, Bernita (Marriage - 1950)

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood, Wis. was the recent scene of the wedding of Miss Bernita Lueck, daughter of Mrs. Elsie Lueck of Greenwood, and Vernard C. Swieso, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Swieso of Greenwood.

The bride wore an entrained dress of white slipper satin, featuring a fitted bodice and long sleeves, and Chantilly lace edging the train. Her finger-tip veil fell from a headdress of beads and rhinestones, and she carried a bouquet of lilies and red roses.

Her attendants were Miss Norma Jane Lueck, Marshfield, sister of the bride, as maid of honor, Miss Geraldine Reinhart and Mrs. Raymond Johnson of Loyal, (as bridesmaids). They wore lilac, green and yellow gowns.

The groom was attended by Wilbert Swieso, brother of the groom, as best man, Wilmer Lueck, brother of the bride, and Raymond Johnson.

The couple is residing in Greenwood following a honeymoon to Canada and New York State.

Mrs. Swieso is a graduate of the Loyal High School. Mr. Swieso graduated from the Greenwood High School.
