Kugle, Fannie (1 June 1870 - 10 Mar. 1957)
Miss Fannie Kugle, a former citizen of Colby, died in a rest home in Eau Claire Sunday afternoon at the age of 86. Miss Kugle was born in Shawano on June 1st. 1870, and she and her mother lived in Colby several years and engaged in the millinery business. From here they moved to Menomonie where Miss Kugle operated a millinery store until 10 years ago when she retired.
The body was brought to the Lulloff Funeral Home Sunday and funeral services were held in St. Mary’s Catholic church Wednesday morning, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were John Engeldinger, Clarence Neck, George Krepsky, Francis Steinwand, Fred Zassenhaus, Jr., and Joe Steinwand.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Feist of Tama, Iowa, distant relatives, came to Colby and made the funeral arrangements.
