Ostenson, Patricia M.
(Marriage - 12 September 1970)
Miss Patricia M. Ostenson of Rt. 3 Thorp,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew G. Stafen of Cicero, Ill., was united in
marriage to Jerome E. Stremikis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Stremikis of Rt. 1
Willard, Saturday at 2 p.m. in ceremonies performed in Holy Family Catholic
Church, Willard. The Rev. Michael G. Mertens performed the double-ring ceremony
in the presence of 165 guests.
The bride wore a light avocado green
sating empire gown, covered with white organza lace and embroidered with
crystal-like daisies. She carried a large bouquet of white daisies, as she was
escorted to the altar by her uncle, Erich Kapfer, and her mother because of her
father’s illness.
Miss Joan Stafen of Cicero, Ill. was maid-of-honor, and
Miss Bernadette Stremikis was bridesmaid. They wore pale avocado green gowns of
satin, covered with chiffon. The sleeves were full with flowered embroidery
around them and the waist. They carried bronze daisies on a green background.
John Stremikis was bestman. He is stationed with the army in Washington,
D. C. Joe Stremikis was the groomsman. Both are brothers of the groom. Ushers
were Jim Zoller of Willard and Larry Benedict of Neillsville.
A reception
was held at the Holy Family parish hall, with 200 guests attending.
The
bride graduated from Morton East High School, Cicero, in 1967 and is a former
employee of Thorp Finance Corporation in Thorp. The groom graduated from
Greenwood High School in 1960 and is employed at the Greenwood post office as a
clerk.
After a wedding trip into western states, the couple will make
their home on Rt. 3 Thorp.
