Reineking, E.W. (Ernest William) (11 JUL 1854 – 25 JUL 1925)

Reineking was born in the Town of Herman, Sheboygan County, July 11, 1854. Here
he spent his youth and was confirmed and became a member of the Lutheran Church.
He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Dohmeir on May 6, 1881. They came to this vicinity and have since resided on their farm on the West Side.
Deceased was ill about three months and gradually grew worse until death relieved him from his suffering last Tuesday evening July 28th, the cause of his death being cancer of the stomach.
For many years he was a member of the West Side Reformed
Church and was at one time Sunday school teacher and director of the
congregation. He served as director for 18 years.
Mr. Reineking was one of
the best known and most respected residents of the West Side, a kind and loving
husband and father and a great favorite among the neighbors.
He leaves his heartbroken wife and the following
children: Mrs. Albert Miller of the Town of Eaton, Mrs. Arthur Sebastian of
Milwaukee, Mrs. John Vollrath of the Town of Mead, Mrs. Alfred Decker of
Moorehead, Mont., Mrs. Wm. Becker of Milwaukee, Otto on a farm in the Town of
Mead, Mrs. Edwin Steiger of the Town of Warner, Selma at home and Arthur on the
home farm. He also leaves 19 grandchildren, two brothers, Theodore of Sheboygan
and Otto of the Town of Herman and two sisters, Mrs. Rev. Henschen of Cleveland,
Ohio; and Mrs. Fred Stock of the Town of Herman. One son, one brother and one
sister preceded him in death.
Deceased had reached the age of 71 years and 17
days.
Funeral services were held from the West Side Reformed Church last Saturday afternoon. Rev.O. Vriesen officiating. The body was laid to rest in the West Side Cemetery.

Uphoff and Mr. Richard of Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Branstad and family of the
Town of Herman and Mr. Simon Dohmeir of Sheboygan Falls.
