Warner, Shirley R. (4 OCT 1878 - 12 NOV 1943)

Mrs. E. W. Stevens of the town of Sherman recently received a telegram that her brother, Shirley R. Warner, had passed away on Nov. 12 at a hospital in Milwaukee, where he had been taken on Nov. 10, suffering from a kidney ailment.

Mr. Warner was born in Clark county at York Center on Oct. 4, 1878, the son of W. W. and Mary J. Warner. He was married in 1899 to Eva Lapp, also of Clark county. Two children were born of this union. The youngest, Angeline preceded him in death and the other is Mrs. Paul (Agnes) Sutherland of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He also leaves to mourn his departure his wife and three grandchildren, two living in Milwaukee and one somewhere overseas with the army. There are also four sisters and two brothers; Mrs. H. A. (Lillian) Bowman, Mrs. L. (Edith) Gardner, Mrs. Mary Eva Holmes and Harold Warner of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Hattie Stevens of Spencer and Edgar Warner of Nekoosa.

The funeral services were held in Milwaukee on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
