West, Lorraine (25 NOV 1943)
Miss Lorraine West and John Gray were united in marriage at the bride’s home on Thanksgiving day.
Miss West will be remembered as a graduate from the Loyal high school, also taking one year of training at the vocational at the vocational school in Milwaukee, which fitted her for the position in the U. S. National Bank at Portland, Ore., where she is still employed.
Miss West moved with her parents from Milwaukee to Portland, where she met Mr. Gray, who is employed with the Portland Transportation Co.
The Home was decorated with fall flowers for the wedding. The bride wore a dress of soldier blue, with black accessories and pink camellia corsage. The groom wore a dark gray suit, with white boutonniere.
The only attendants were the bride’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lavern West. Mrs. West wore a powder blue dress, with dark blue accessories and a pink carnation corsage, while her husband wore a dark blue suit, with white boutonniere.
The table was set for 21 guests, the centerpiece being a large three-tier wedding cake, with a miniature bride and groom. Immediately after dinner, the bridal couple left on a trip. They are now at home in their apartment at Vanport City, Portland.
The Loyal Tribune extends to the newlyweds its wishes for a happy wedded life.
