Geiss, Victor J. (15 OCT 1943 - 14 DEC 1943)

Funeral services for Victor John Geiss, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Geiss of St. Paul, Minn., were held in Ohlrogge’s funeral home here Thursday, Dec. 16, two months and a day after his birth at St. Joseph’s hospital in Marshfield on Oct. 15. Officiating at the services was the Rev. J. C. Langholz, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery.

The child was baptized at the Lutheran parsonage on Nov. 14, a month before its death at Thorp from a hemorrhage on Dec. 14.

Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geiss; a sister, Sharon; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Kanneberg of Loyal and John Geiss of Merrill, and uncles and aunts, Mrs. Ralph Boucher, Mrs. Art Heller and Mrs. Walter Grund, Mrs. Fred Heller and Walter Geiss all of Merrill; Mrs. William Rodewald of Villa Park, Ill.; Frank Geiss of Elmhurst, Ill.; Mrs. Russell George of Seattle, Wash.; Miss Dorothy Kanneberg and Edwin Kanneberg of Loyal, and Pfc. Kenneth Kanneberg, who is stationed somewhere in England.

The Tribune adds its sympathy to that of friends and neighbors to the bereaved parents and relatives in the loss of a dear one.
