Schlinsog, Ernest G. (29 May 1889
- 5 October 1970)
Funeral services for Ernst G. Schlinsog, 81, who died
October 5, were to be held today (Thursday) from the Hansen Chapel in
Marshfield. Burial is to be made in the Zion American Lutheran Cemetery in Grant
Township.
Mr. Schlinsog was born may 29, 1889, the youngest son of the
late August and Pauline (Handtke) Schlinsog, Sr., in the Town of Grant. He
received his education in the Lutheran parochial school there and the Roder
School. He married the late Helena Bielke on November 27, 1912. They farmed in
the Town of York until her death in July 1947.
Two sons and a daughter
were born to them: Raymond, show died in October 1968, Norman, who died in
infancy in 1923, and Mrs. Russell (Ursie) Sheldon of St. Francis, who survives.
On October of 1951 he married the late Emelia Garbisch, and they later moved
to Marshfield. He preceded him in death on March 8, 1969.
Besides his
daughter, he is survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;
three step-sons, Erwin and Melvin Garbisch of Granton and Elmer Garbisch, who
lies elsewhere in Wisconsin; two step-daughters, Mrs. Erna Tykac and Mrs. Renota
Skoda, both of Marshfield; and many nieces and nephews.
