Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Herman (Helen) North, wife of a prominent Neillsville banker, who died Sunday at the age of 86 following an extended illness. The service was held from the Georgas Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Yons of the United Church of Christ in charge. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Before her marriage to Mr. North on August 15, 1914, Mrs. North worked as a legal secretary for Homer Clark, who then was serving as district attorney for Clark County. She had been a Neillsville resident all her life.

Surviving besides Mr. North are two daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Patricia) Struble of Neillsville, and Mrs. Janet Pree of Excelsior, Minn.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
