Ampe, Mother (Tribute - 15 JUL 1954)

Here's to our mother, we lover her so dear,
She's now (1)
been in the United States fifty years.
She calls this her Golden Jubilee,
That's when she came from Belgium with Emil and Rene.
We wish she could make it 75,
And I'm sure she would if dad were alive.
We thank you mom for all you've done,
It was a long hard struggle but you won.
We all caused you much heartache and fuss,
So this is to say "Thank You" from everyone one of us.
