Rued, Lyman #2 (10 FEB 1919 - 3 MAR 1948)

Lyman Rued, 29 years of age, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Rued of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at a Madison hospital Wednesday, March 3, 1948, being the victim of pneumonia. He was suddenly taken ill about a week ago and hurried to Madison for treatment. His sudden death comes as a shock to his many friends and relatives. Lyman was born Feb. 10, 1919, at Curtiss, and had been engaged in farming as an occupation prior to his illness. He was unmarried.

Surviving him are his parents, two brothers, Marvin of Gilman, and Ambrose of Marshfield, and one sister, Mrs. Chester (Violet) Bangsberg of Sparta.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at two o’clock from the Norwegian Lutheran Church at Curtiss with Rev. G. E. Borreson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers at the final rites will be Howard Erickson, Alfred Thompson, Edwin Krause, Jr., Wayne Olson, Harry Laabs, and Ralf Peterson.
