Baehr, Fred Baehr (18 December 1924 - 30 August 2013)
An amazing man from
a humble lifestyle! No one worked harder than Grandpa. He planted it, grew it,
harvested it, and stored it. Bred, fed & raised it - some butchered and eaten,
many cared for and loved for years. Faithfully greased, repaired and maintained
hose cherished machines for a generation. He valued the worth of our machines
AND animals as fiend, food, game, sport and paycheck. He lived on the same
acreage his entire life.
Constant sportsman, always hunting or fishing! I
remember his regret for that little deer in the field unknowingly hit by the hay
mower. His soft side again revealed.
Love to laugh and enjoyed the
company of family and hunting buddies - often the same guys. Lifelong friends,
amazing! A man who could bat a hook in his sleep!
As trusty and reliable
as his overalls with watch and pliers stowed in appropriate pocket.
Thank
you for teaching us to work hard and to enjoy the simple things. Thank you for
endless patience. I will always cherish you. Miss you Grandpa.
